The virtual number guide

Virtual numbers for SMS verification

SMSPRO is a guide to virtual phone numbers: how to receive SMS online, which number fits Telegram, WhatsApp or Google, and how to register without exposing your personal SIM. Numbers themselves are issued by VirtualSIM in a couple of minutes.

  • No SIM card needed
  • SMS in your browser
  • One-time or rental

How it works

  1. 01Choose country and service. Pick the number’s country and the app you want to verify — for example, a US number for Telegram.
  2. 02Get the number. Pay for a one-time activation or a longer rental on VirtualSIM and copy the number.
  3. 03Receive the SMS. The verification code appears in your VirtualSIM dashboard. Enter it in the app — done.

If the SMS does not arrive, you are not charged — release the number and try another country.

Frequently asked questions

Is it legal to use virtual numbers?

Yes, in most countries virtual numbers are a standard telecom product. What matters is complying with the rules of the platform where you register.

Will the service know it is a virtual number?

VirtualSIM numbers come from real mobile ranges, so most platforms treat them like regular numbers. Some services (banks, a few messengers) may reject certain ranges — then a number from another country usually works.

Do I need to install an app?

No. SMS codes arrive in the VirtualSIM web dashboard. You only need the app of the service you are registering for.

What if the SMS code never arrives?

Release the number — undelivered SMS are not charged — and try a different country. Our troubleshooting guide covers the common causes.

Need a number right now?

Pick a country and a service on VirtualSIM — the SMS code arrives in your dashboard.
